Before you install the 2 bottom panels protect with penetrating epoxy resin to protect the wood from rot. Coat with 2 coats of a good oil base primer. now coat with 2 coats of high quality acrylic latex. make sure there is a sixteenth of an inch space between panels to keep them from splitting during humid weather. If you are installing during a time of low humidity you may want to allow a little more space between panels.
