Crown Molding Insulation
Crown Molding will need to be sealed on all sides. 2 coats of oil base primer is recommended and 2 latex finish coats after insulation.Caulking the molding to the wall and ceiling will make your work look clean and sharp tape off the wall and ceiling allowing a 1/16 of an inch between the tape and crown. Before you caulk then pull the tape off as soon as your second finish coat is on. Learn to Cope your crown will give you a much better job after insulation.Adding a block of wood and gluing to the back of your joints on long runs will keep your joints from separating.
